Week in Review: Floating Pot, City Council Redistricting, Lacrosse and New Bus Benches.

Here's our recap of the top stories for the week of Jan. 31 - Feb. 4 so you can be up-to-date on all the local happenings.

From marijuana found floating in the Bay, to a fight over City Council redistricting, from Lacrosse to new bus benches. We’ve got your neighgorhood news for the week.

On Friday, a concerned about proposed new City Council district boundaries that woudl separate Westchester from LAX and its current representative, Bill Rosendahl.  

Sheriff’s deputies from the Marina del Rey station, acting on a tip from a boater found and retrieved

just one day after appointing the new Department of Water and Power ratepayer advocate, who is tasked with making sure residents voices are being heard on an rate increase.

About 30 volunteers weeded, cleared and helped to build a grape arbor at the campus. The project will hep the middle school to develop “culture gardens” to go along with its new language magnet.

We spoke with parents, players and the league organizer about the sport and its new popularity in the neighborhood.

New bus benches are being installed by the city in Mar Vista. Some locals think the new design and color are an eyesore. Take a look and vote.
