The Great Venice Toy Drive

The Great Venice Toy Drive, a project of the Venice Neighborhood Council, kicks off today, November 9, 2012. The Great Venice Toy Drive is a two part holiday event for Venice stakeholders. The first part is the actual toy drive. The VNC will collect new, unwrapped, non-violent toys at various locations in Venice. Then, on December 8, 2012, the VNC will give the toys away to local kids, during a fun-filled day for children at Oakwood Recreation Center.

Toys can be dropped off through December 6, 2012 at: (1) Abbot's Habit, 1401 Abbot Kinney Blvd.; (2) the VNC booth at the Venice Farmers’ Market (Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. weather permitting), intersection of Venice Blvd. and Venice Way; and (3) the VNC’s Board meeting on November 27, 2012 (7:00 p.m.), Westminster Elementary School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd.

The toy drive will then culminate in a holiday festival to be held at Oakwood Recreation Center on December 8, 2012 from 10:00  to 2:00 p.m.
