Santa Monica Emeritus Band Concert

EMERITUS BAND TO PRESENT ITS FALL CONCERT



 



The Santa Monica College Emeritus College Band, under the direction
of Mike Corrigan, will present its fall concert at 3 p.m. on Sunday,
November 3rd, at the Broad Stage, corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and
11th Street.  Admission and parking are free.



 



The program will include "American Overture for Band" by Joseph
Wilcox Jenkins, "Cajun Folk Songs" by Frank Ticheli, "The Hounds of
Spring" by Alfred Reed, "John Williams in Concert" arr. by Paul
Lavender, highlights from "Pirates of the Caribbean" by Klaus Badelt,
"Star Dust" by Hoagy Carmichael, "Thunder and Blazes" by Julius Fucik, 
"Valdres" (a march) by Johannes Hannsen, and others.



Featuring Frank Pratt trumpet virtuoso.
