Santa Sleigh Headed to Venice, Mar Vista

Santa Claus is coming to Venice and Mar Vista compliments of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Santa will arrive in Venice and Mar Vista neighborhoods on Monday, Dec. 2 and Tuesday, Dec. 3 atop the Los Angeles Police Department Sleigh.

The jolly ol' fellow plans to make the following stops in Venice Monday:

  • 4:30 p.m. - Oakwood Area ending at Oakwood Recreation Center (767 California)
  • 6 p.m. -  Olive Street at Wilson Avenue
  • 7 p.m. - Clune Avenue north of Washington Boulevard (mid-block)
  • 8 p.m. - Shell Avenue at Superba Avenue
Tuesday night stops in Mar Vista are as follows:
  • 3 p.m. – Corinth between Culver Boulevard and Barman Avenue
  • 3:45 p.m. – Mar Vista Family Center (drive down Slauson Avenue)
  • 5 p.m. – Mar Vista Gardens (Braddock Elementary)
  • 6:15 p.m. – Grandview Boulevard at Mitchell Avenue (Front of Grandview School and NYA)
  • 7 p.m. – Keeshan Drive (mid-block) south of Pacific Avenue
  • 7:30 p.m. – North Park between Marcasel Avenue and East Boulevard
  • 9 p.m. – Mesmer Avenue at Beatrice Avenue (The Gardens)
The listed times can vary by 15-30 minutes, and those looking for Santa should listen for sirens and music and be on the lookout for flashing police lights. Please advise neighbors of the friendly noise headed their way so they won't be alarmed.

Bring your cameras; Santa will stop for photos.
