Green Halloween is for Adults Too!
Kids aren't the only ones who need green reminders around Halloween. Paul McCartney, eat your heart out.
My husband, Steve, and I were eagerly anticipating our friend’s yearly Halloween party (Adults only, except for the occasional dog, rabbit and bird).
We were already thinking “Beatles” theme, since another friend is having a Will You Still Need Me, Will You Still Feed Me, When I’m 64 birthday costume party.
My husband went online and found some cheesy, cheap costume that he planned to purchase. I suggested we go to on Venice Boulevard and see if they had the item in stock. My hope was that we could instead rent a costume. Renting or borrowing rather than buying new creates the least strain on the environment. We would also be supporting Robinson’s Beautilities, a long-standing institution in Mar Vista, which has been around as long as I can remember.

As luck would have it, a magnificent version of Paul’s turquoise jacket from the Sgt. Pepper cover was still available! For a modest fee, we will be renting it Saturday through Monday. The costume is so realistic that I am now concerned about the hordes of screaming girls that will no doubt be chasing Steve down the street.
