Apparent Gang Related Shooting Leaves One Dead
One man was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting at the intersection of Pearl St. and Sawtelle Blvd.
Police today were investigating an apparent gang-related shooting in West Los Angeles that left one man dead and another person injured.
The two people were shot around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Pearl Street and Sawtelle Boulevard, Los Angeles police Det. John Skaggs told ABC7.
"It occurred out on the street ... and witnesses heard about six or seven gunshots," Skaggs said.

The gunman fled on foot, ABC7 reported.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene, said Los Angeles police Officer Karen Rayner. The other person injured in the shooting was taken by private car to a hospital, she said.

A police officer at the West Los Angeles station said the shooting was believed to be gang-related, but declined to say why.
