A white sedan fatally struck a motorcyclist on the southbound 405 Freeway at Venice Boulevard at approximately 4:35 p.m., forcing a three-lane closure for about two hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The name of the motorcylist, who is 43-years-old, is not being released until the next of kin is notified.
As of 7:46 p.m., the freeway was clear, according to CHP.
I was upset and irritated all the way to the point of the scene of the Accident, there was a blue Coroners Van and several CHP units with 3 lanes and carpool lane closed... My entire attitude and demeanor changed when I saw the Motorcycle down and an object covered in a yellow tarp. I started thinking who cares about the traffic or loss of time ... there lies a human being who lost his life tonight ..someones father, husband, son is not coming home ... putting it all in perspective a little delay in traffic is the least of our problems considering the people who are involved in the accident how they must be feeling injured or loss of life or property... So next time your upset because of an accident on the freeway put it all in perspective thst it's not so bad .... God Bless
Did you know him?

Our friend was on his way home from work that day. He passed away leaving behind his mother, two younger sisters, a lovely wife, and an unborn daughter who is due to be born this weekend. The babyshower that had been planned for the couple turned into a funeral for him which was held in down town LA last Wednesday, 1 day after his family was able to see him for the first time since the accident. I will relay your messages to Gen's family. Thank you again.
Here is Gen's Obituary. http://www.fukuimortuary.com/fh/obituaries/obituary.cfm?o_id=1749752&fh_id=10203
