Local Obama Campaign Office Vandalized

Someone with a BB gun shot at the building in the 6700 block of South Centinela Avenue on Thursday night, breaking a window but no injuries resulted.

President Obama’s campaign office in Mar Vista was vandalized around 7:30 p.m. Thursday night, police are reporting.

According to the ongoing police investigation, a person with a BB gun shot at the building on the 6700 block of South Centinela Avenue, and threw an object through the window. No one was in the office at the time of the incident and according to police nobody was hurt.

LAPD spokeswoman Sara Faden told the Los Angeles Times the person who reported the incident heard “breaking glass and noticed one of the windows was broken.”

Police did not have a description of the vandal.

President Obama is due in Los Angeles on Monday to raise funds for his re-election campaign.
