Kobe Bryant Makes Appearance in Venice Beach

The Lakers star signed basketballs and promoted his new Nike athletic shoes on Saturday.

Kobe Bryant made an appearance before a crush of fans at the Venice Beach basketball courts Saturday.

The Lakers' 6-foot, 6-inch shooting guard towered above the crowd as he made his way to the courts.

Bryant was in Venice to promote his Nike Kobe 8 shoes, which are carrying a price tag of up to $270.
