Top Venice Chefs, Mixologists to Stir it Up for Taste of Venice Sunday

Chefs and mixologists are set to dazzle your culinary tastebuds Sunday at the Taste of Venice. The event benefits Inside Out Community Arts, a venice organization.

Have fun sampling some of the best in Venice cuisine Sunday during Inside Out Community Arts' 5th annual Taste of Venice. The event raises funds for Inside Out to continue its work of empowering some 300 at-risk and underserved middle and high school students in Los Angeles with after-school arts and media education programs.

The tasting tour is from 4:30-6:30 p.m. with participants strolling restaurant to restaurant to enjoy some food and drink on Abbot Kinney Boulevard. Participating restaurants include Govind Armstrong's Willie Jane, Joe’s, Hal’s Bar & Grill, Pork Belly’s, Feed Body & Soul, The Otheroom, Lemonade, Local 1205, Primitivo, Abbot’s Pizza and Tlapazola.

Tickets for the tasting tour are $65 each and are sold out, however, tickets for the VIP reception and walking tour are still availableTickets that include the tasting tour and VIP reception are $110 each.

The VIP reception will include high-profile Food Network stars, culinary connoisseurs, music, a silent auction, and food demonstrations. Iron Chef America's Chef Jet Tila, Adam Gertler from the Food Network's primetime series Kid in a Candy Store, and Food & Wine's Los Angeles correspondent Jennifer Sommer will make special appearances. 

Restaurants participating in the VIP reception include Chaya Venice, Cafe Gratitude, Hostaria del Piccolo, Piccolo Venice, Sauce on Hampton, The Tasting Kitchen, Barnyard, Larry’s, Barlo, Venice Ale House & Bank of Venice, Groundwork Coffee Company, Le Cellier, Rose Cafe and Goodbites Truffles.

The VIP reception will be held at The Electric Lodge, a solar-powered and ecologically minded performing arts center at 1416 Electric Ave.
